Life Education Trust offers 3 Theatre in Education live performances to secondary aged students, designed to provoke thinking and conversation around key issues impacting rangatahi (youth).
• SMASHED is a free alcohol education programme, which covers the risks of underage drinking and strategies to deal with peer pressure.
• SMART$ is a free financial literacy programme covering debt, deferred payment schemes, Kiwisaver and credit/debt. Smart$ was produced by Life Education to focus on financial literacy as a core life skill.
• BEHIND THE SCENES explores the issues of vaping and social media influences and supports students to consider the impacts of these influences on their lives.
These fun interactive 45-minute programmes are aimed at students in Years 9 and 10 but older year groups also find them beneficial. They are complemented by resources that parents can use to embed learning in their own homes.
