NCHENZ Statement to the Home Education Community

The National Council of Home Educators (NCHENZ) is aware of widespread concern and uncertainty surrounding the Government's proposed changes to home education regulations.

We want to reassure the home education community that we are actively engaged in this matter. Members of the National Council Executive Committee are participating in media interviews, gathering information, and working to ensure that the voices of home educating families are heard clearly and respectfully.

We understand that many families are feeling anxious about what these proposed changes could mean for their freedom to educate their children in a way that best meets their needs.

Please know we are monitoring and acting on any developments closely and will continue to advocate for the rights and interests of home educators across New Zealand.
