Amazing Creative Projects for Term 1

posted in: Member Services | 0

Jarratt'sNCHENZ is pleased to announce a new partnership with Ellen & Pete Jarratt who have an inspiring online creativity school called Jarratt Create & Educate. The Jarratt’s offer a choice of projects which develop creativity, self belief, self awareness, communication skills, leadership, innovation and decision making. Each project comes with a range of tools to help you run the project for your children – including a NZ curriculum unit plan, a research guide, tailored worksheets, a list of materials required, and personalised certificates. Earlier this year NZ Life & Leisure magazine featured an 8-page story on the Jarratts, calling them “… Dreamweavers, finding the gift in every child …” – click here to read the feature, it’s very interesting!.

How it works: Choose a project to do for the term. There are currently three projects to choose from, each one is designed to develop creative thinking: Carnival, Radical Recall, Wearable Creations, and Totally Totem. Puppeteer is in development at the moment and will be available later this year. Each project consists of ten lessons which are approximately an hour each. Complete the project at your own pace over the course of the term. Most people complete one lesson per week for the ten weeks of the term, however this is flexible to your own schedule.

The projects are delivered through a mix of online tuition, hands on learning, and printable resources; and are suitable for ages 5-13yrs.

Pricing:

The subscription rate is for one project (designed to be completed over the course of one term):
For 1 child – $20
For up to 3 children – $25
For up to 5 children – $30

Note, the children do not have to be all from the same family. The Jarratt’s encourage families to work collaboratively so that the children can learn from each other and gain more creatively. Consider working with a number of other families in your area and holding a joint celebration at the end of the term where the children can show their work.
