Friends of NCHENZ are groups that are NOT formally joined to NCHENZ but share some aims in common and have agreed to be listed on this site and stay in communication with NCHENZ. If you would like to be an individual friend of NCHENZ and not formally  join with  us, please join our forum pages, we would love to get to know you better.

Christchurch based Home Educator cooperative group set up with the intention of providing a positive and empowering place to swap ideas and resources, source information and generally chat.

Dunedin – ( Supporting Home Education Among Families) SHEAF

We are a  home education support group started in October 2003 for families in the Dunedin/Otago area of New Zealand.  We meet once a week at a local park, and organise other trips and excursions as a group. If you are interested in home education, or are already homeschooling your kids, please contact Kathrin Gilles at ulex@wnation.co.nz or Nicola Pye at nicpye@vodafone.co.nzfor more information.
We welcome children of all ages, regardless of political, religious or curriculum beliefs!

    I would like to become a member of the friends of NCHENZ so I may be able to help others get connected in my area. I live in Te Puke but help run 2 groups in Tauranga and helped organinse our first inter-regional sports event (along with a few others).
